Video: Wade Davis on the Worldwide Web of Belief & Ritual

“These myriad voices of humanity are not failed attempts at being you, they are not failed attempts at being modern, they are unique facets of the human imagination, they are unique answers to a fundamental question: what does it mean to be human and alive?”

National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence Wade Davis

“Our industrial society is scarcely 300 years old, that shallow history shouldn’t suggest to anyone that we have all of the answers to all of the questions that will confront us in the ensuing millenia.”

This video briefly touches on the many mysteries of Machu Picchu while giving an engaging overview of some of the world’s varied belief systems that are “different visions of life itself.” For what its worth, I found it fascinating.
